Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support all aspects of human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. This role is critical in sustaining our company culture and supporting our expansion across Nigeria and West Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in full-cycle recruitment processes including job posting, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters
- Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth transition into the organization
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
- Process payroll inputs and ensure timely and accurate salary payments
- Support the implementation and monitoring of performance management systems
- Assist in coordinating training and development programs for employees
- Handle employee queries and concerns with professionalism and confidentiality
- Support employee engagement initiatives and company culture development
- Prepare HR reports and analytics to track key metrics and trends
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Assist in benefits administration and employee wellness programs
- Support the planning and execution of company events and team-building activities
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in HR role (preferably in a fast-growing organization)
- Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems
- Strong understanding of recruitment and onboarding processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel)
