Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Northern Area Sales Manager to lead our sales operations across Northern Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives, developing market strategies, and driving business growth through the sales of medical and laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across Northern Nigeria.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to ensure consistent performance.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and government healthcare institutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, key accounts, and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Oversee product demonstrations, technical presentations, and high-level client negotiations.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to ensure excellent after-sales service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report sales performance, preparing accurate forecasts and territory plans.
- Represent the company at medical exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry networking events in the region.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and ethical sales practices.
Requirements
- Education: B.Sc. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or related Sciences (MBA or professional sales certification is an advantage).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in medical equipment/healthcare sales, with proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated track record of managing key accounts and closing high-value deals in the healthcare sector.
- Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Northern Nigeria (Kano/Abuja preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively across the region.
